⭐️ I bought my dream car (a sexy on-brand-colored Telluride that I'm low-key considering trading in just for the new logo), after driving Crusty (my '08 Acura) around since the day I got my license
⭐️ I successfully launched an online course (👀) and paid off my ridiculous dental bills
⭐️ My prices have doubled, along with the demand for my services, and I still pinch myself over the fact that I've been booked 'til March since August
⭐️ I moved from Quebec back home to Massachusetts and built a comfortable home and life for myself & my chai-uh wah-tay loving son
⭐️ I've given a presentation about web copy at Squarespace headquarters in NYC, and met fellow creatives from all over the world
⭐️ I've started offering 1:1 mentorship for copywriters, and have now helped 9 freelancers accomplish their goals with my 3-month custom program
⭐️ I've been interviewed on podcasts hosted by some of my favorite people, like Franceska Boerman and Steph Taylor
⭐️ My email list has tripled in size, as I've written about things like nervous first date energy, giving a mouse a lobster roll, boys loving dead fish, my time as a carnie, and my brawl with Nestle Tollhouse
And, you know, it would have made sense if I made this newsletter about all those changes & accomplishments, all the lessons I've learned, all of my best tips about how to successfully build an email list, how to keep readers engaged, how to come up with what to say every week, because I attribute pretty much all of my success to the results, connections, and conversions that this lil weekly newsletter brought my way, but…
I'm not doing that.
Partly because I've already written a series on email marketing not that long ago (start here!), and partly because I have better plans for us today. We're partying. 🎉
I figured we could talk about email marketing any ole time—don't worry, I'll definitely be sharing some tips, reflections, and strategies for keeping up with a weekly newsletter soon—but there will only be ONE 100th edition of the TOC, so why not celebrate?!
I can brag about my accomplishments and preach about my tips all I want, but a) that's not fun, and b) that's not the point.
This weekly newsletter has been a success because YOU open it and read it every single Tuesday morning.
And I love you for that.
