TOC #82: Wait, who the hell is Paige?
(July 19th, 2022) Meet BTL's summer intern!!
“Wait, I thought it was Sara at BTL Copy… who the hell is Paige?”
😈
You're not wrong, friend. It IS usually Sara at BTL Copy sending you these newsletters.
But not today.
Don’t worry; I’m about to answer all of your “um, wtf?" questions, - as long as you promise not to tell Sara that I hacked her newsletter while she’s on Cape Cod this week.
So. HI! I'm Paige, the BTL Summer Marketing Intern.
Let me tell you all about what it’s like to be Sara’s paid BFF… I mean employee 😏
Starting at the way beginning: Sara and I met back in April, at a Chamber of Commerce event (her favorite) a couple weeks before I was set to come home from my first year of college for the summer.
I was about to finish up my first year at Zoomass UMass Amherst (Sara’s nickname for me is “Big Drinker” - no idea why…), and I told her I was a marketing major.
Once we got to talking about content writing and copy, the rest was history. I started as her intern a couple weeks later.
I have to admit that fortune really smiled down on me there. I’m fully aware that I have the best summer job ever.
I mean, seriously, who else’s boss orders them Crumbl Cookies on their lunch break and brings them along to the Cape for a brand photoshoot???
Throughout these past two months, I’ve learned so much from Sara, both marketing-related and not. I've been loving working on all things BTL and getting a sneak peek into Sara’s coolest new projects.
I’m learning from the absolute best about everything from email marketing, to blogging, to client work, to the most effective ways to entertain a toddler.
(Yes, I’ve had the honor of meeting and even babysitting the icon himself, Woo.)
If you want the full scoop on exactly what I do for Sara on a typical day, read the BTL blog post (wrote it myself!) linked below all about A Day in The Life of a Copywriter's Intern.
Marketing tip!
(Haha, kidding! I’m just the intern. I don’t have any tips for you.)
Well, actually… let me think.
I guess the next best thing to one of Sara’s copywriting tips would be sending you to her website copy course, right? I mean, that’s what she would probably say, isn’t it?
Use this link to sign up for her waitlist to learn all about how to write your own website copy and how to optimize your site using SEO and how to get the right people to your site with blogging and how to grow your community with email marketing!
(Jeez…why did she put all that in one course? It’s like she’s obsessed with giving tips away for free or something…)
And I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell you this part, but I think (hope?) she's mentioned it before - waitlist subscribers get VIP access to the course on October 7th for the founding member price of $997 (or 4 payments of $250) which, if you ask me, is a freaking steal compared to the $1297 Site Series is goin' for when it *officially* launches to all the non-waitlisters on October 11th.
& while we're talking about what she has coming up soon for you… I may as well mention a few more things while I'm at it?
(I mean, after all, I did want to give you the tea!)
>> She's launching a new version of her website in collaboration with Kleist Creative later this summer.
>> She announced her website copy resource for website designers to the waitlist a couple weeks ago. Here's the link, though, ICYMI - aka in case you're a website designer sick of waiting on copy from your clients.
>> She's hosting a 6-month group mentorship program for new and aspiring copywriters, starting in September.
>> She may or may not be working on a sales page chapter to add to her Site Series repertoire.
& Lord only knows what else that girl is working on. IDK where she finds the time to do all this stuff as a mom, I was tired after only watching Woo for 3 hours!
Don’t worry—Sara will be back next week so you can get your marketing tip fix. But remember: she can never know I was here. This newsletter’s our little secret 😎
xo, Paige
